24/05/22 Ordering Repeat Prescriptions
Dear Chapelford patients,
Due to the significant number of emails and calls that Chapelford receive we have had to review the way in which patients can order medication.
In the interests of patient safety, you can no longer request medication via email and our reception team are unable to accept requests over the telephone.
Patients are able to order medication electronically via the NHS app or SystmOnline services. Alternatively you can drop a written request into the practice.
When ordering prescriptions electronically all of your repeat medications will show in a list.
- If you are using the NHS app, and your medication does not appear on your repeat list or you require an acute item, please submit the details of your request in the free text in the box.
- If you are using SystmOnline services your medications must be on repeat.
If you have a repeat medication or regular acute item that does not appear on your list then please submit a written request noting that the medication needs adding to your repeat.
All prescription requests will be processed within 3 working days, however we encourage you to order 7-10 days before your medication is due to run out. Please note that we will not accept requests earlier than 10 days before the due date unless there are extenuating circumstances.
